Halong Bay is the most popular travell destination in Vietnam and designated as UNESCO world heritage site in1994. Halong means " where the dragon descen into the sea" and the legend claims of Halong Bay were created by a great dragon from mountains. Many people compare Halong Bay to Guilin in China or Krabi in Thailand, but Halong Bay is more spectacular. The bay's immense of islands are dotted with wind and wave eroded caves, and their rarely forested slopes ring with the birdsong.
Halong Bay is a bay with an area of 1500 km2 which is located in the northern region of Vietnam. Most of Halong Bay territory is filled with a sea of islands in various shapes and sizes and it become a home for a wide variety of flora and fauna, some of which go round the endemic species.
