Camel wrestling is a traditional sport that is very popular on the west coast of Turkey, where the camels local males from the local village pitted in a stadium. The tradition of camel wrestling itself comes from the culture of Turkish tribes that have more than 2,400 years old.
This ancient tradition is very popular among Turks. Before the match, the camels were first decorated with patterned fabrics, carved saddle, and bells. Camel wrestling event is usually also accompanied by music and dance. the camel owners are also dressed up with hats, scarves, jackets, pants and boots.
